So much more than a book club, this wonderful group of conscious, curious readers create a space on honesty and sharing that we always leave with new and critical perspectives.  Our monthly in-person book club is co-run with the lovely Sangeetha at @simple_sangee_writes, and focused on reads by cis and trans women, and non-binary people from the Global South and diasporas. 

Some of the amazing titles we have read, cried over, laughed with, and learnt from include ‘The Death of Vivek Oji‘ by Akwaeke Emezi,  ‘Elena Knows‘ by Claudia Piñeiro, ‘Karukku’ by Bama, ‘If an Egyptian Cannot Speak English‘ by Noor Naga, ‘Babel‘ by R.F. Kuang,  ‘They Called me Lioness‘ by Ahed Tamimi and Dena Takruri, ‘Kindred‘ by Octavia Butler, ‘Breast Stories‘ by Mahasweta Devi, ‘Eyeliner‘ by Zahra Hankir, and ‘Diary of a Void‘ by Emi Yagi.     

Our current read is ‘Braiding Sweetgrass’ by Robin Wall Kimmerer
