Aadrit
A queer South Asian artist, Aadrit looks at desire, (intergenerational) trauma, healing and solidarity through his works that involve the body, a mix of languages, colours and silence. He was one of the six selected poets from across the UK and India at the 2025 Language Is A Queer Thing—an international poetry residency programme led by The Queer Muslim Project and the British Council. As a fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation and The Heritage Lab (2022-23), and Nazariya Foundation (2023-24), he had researched on queer histories from South Asia. Aadrit works as an editor and writer–translator, has performed across different venues, and regularly curates queer–heritage and poetry walks across Delhi, designs creative writing workshops, and campaigns against censorship, discrimination and sectarian violence. He is presently pursuing a Master’s degree in English literature from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.
