raji lives in chabel, kathmandu with house mates suneeta and gopal who are also raji’s parents. raji loves to write with fountain pens, figure out different jugaads to ease the ever so present sinus allergy (anyone interested in creating a support group please contact them!) and is always looking for metaphors in nature to find joy, fun and pleasure. raji loves to do collaborative work using narrative practices and somatics to envision queer ways of being. They are forever grateful for their education and know-how of the world to the Nepali & Tibetan speaking domestic and elder care workers’ community in Queens, New York, who taught raji to see emotional labor otherwise rendered invisible in everyday life. In 2019, raji and her housemates/parents started आज Cafe, a space dedicated to emotional well-being. आज is named after Aastik and Justin, our dearest friends. Aaja is an attempt to re-member and surround us with all the influences that Aastik and Justin have in our lives.
