Soniya Pondcar
Soniya Pondcar is a Mumbai-based independent writer and artist. She is a Mass Media graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, majoring in Journalism. Her written work usually deals with socio-political issues and human-interest stories, and has been featured in a number of publications, such as Frontline, Good Food Movement, and ASAP Art. A passionate artist – practising in the traditional as well as digital medium – she also works as a freelance editorial illustrator for Frontline. Outside of on-site reporting and political organising, she can be found dragging her friends to the obscurest parts of the city in the name of “research,” writing about music and film on her Substack blog The Untelevised Revolution, or making Hip-Hop music by herself.
