Open Call for Book Reviews

“Nothing is more perilous than truth in a world that lies” –Nawal El-Saadawi, Memoirs from the Women’s Prison. How has your reading measured up to the truth around you? How has it not?

Introducing an open call for book reviews that explore truth in writing. Reviews and books by people or communities willfully sidelined and misrepresented by mainstream media are especially welcome.

Share your feminist, decolonial, fiction, nonfiction, memoir, or poetry reads with us, we’ll be featuring selected pieces on a rolling basis till the end of the year. Reviews should be between 800-1200 words, and selections will be paid the flat rate of 50 USD or equivalent in your local currency. This call is open to anyone across the gender spectrum but the book you choose to review must be written by a cis or trans woman, or non-binary person.  Books by racialized people from the global south and translated works are preferred.
